Our AG stylist has
listened to several viewers that have requested steps to a more
complicated, yet exquisite up-do! Use this hairstyle for any formal
event or church service! |
STEP
1: |
Straighten hair and make a
side part. Put your remaining hair into a
pony tail. (For the remainder of this
hair style, remember to apply hairspray at every
step to reduce frizz.)
STEP
2: |
In this step you will be
making numerous double knotted loops from your side
part.
Take a small section from
the back of the side part. (Leave room for three more
strands, a total of two in front of the side part and
two in the back.)
STEP
3: |
Starting at the top take
that strand and make your first loop and then twist it
several times.
Take the remaining strand
opposite of the first loop and feed most of it through
the first loop. You will be creating your second loop,
the end of that second can then be pinned to the first
loop.
Take the second loop that
has been fed through the first loop and twist that
several times.
Then pin that second loop
next to the first loop in an artistic display.
STEP
4: |
You will then take the
next strand of hair in front of your pinned double
knotted loops and repeat the process.
You will have a total of 4
strands of hair, 4 double knotted loops pinned down, two
in the front and two in the back, all taken from the
side part.
STEP
5: |
Split the pony tail in the back into
two parts. Make two separate braids. |
STEP
6: |
After you have made the
braids, work on them individually, pull on the loops of
the braids to make them look full but do not separate
the braid. Then pin up the braid into half of a bun.
Weave bobby pins through the braid to connect and to
stand it up. Do the same to the second braid.
STEP
7: Final Product |
You're done! Apply
hair spray
and bobby pins where needed to tuck away loose stands of
hair and reduce frizz.
