Laura
and Alicia Summers are identical twins from West Virginia! They are
twenty years old and have been lighting their world since September
of 2007. A woman by the name of Becky had been talking to Alicia
about God and the plan of salvation. Soon after, while the twins
were working at Quiznos Sub, they were invited to Spreading Truth
Ministries. After visiting the church for the first time, God drew
them back again and again. They have been growing in the Lord ever
since.
Since
the girls have been going to church, they have been praying and
living their lives for God in front of their family, believing one
day they will give their lives to God. The girls currently work at
the Hampton Inn and have recently finished a seven week bible study
with their assistant manager and his family. The girls said, “We
want to serve the Lord Jesus Christ because he loves us. It’s a much
better life when it’s in God’s hands. He gives us hope, strength,
patience, correction, and everything we need! We know now that we
have a purpose.”
These
young ladies are shining examples for apostolic girls all across the
nation. You are not alone. If you are the only one in your family
who is serving the Lord or you are blessed to have a twin sister by
your side, be encouraged because the Lord is with you. Laura and
Alicia could have decided to go back to their old lives but they
chose to hold onto Jesus. They have a life of blessings before them.
They stated, “It’s so amazing how he can take away all the shame,
guilt, fear, and replace it with joy, peace, and freedom! Jesus to
us is our best friend, strength, deliverer, provider, and his is
always faithful!”
